The Matte Makers

Achieving matte skin and keeping oil at bay, Soap & Glory One Heck of a blot, The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser & The Body Shop Seaweed Day Moisturiser
When it comes to keeping shine at bay and leaving the lil ol' face shine free as long as possible, I have found a pretty good foolproof trio and all are budget friendly too.

The first step in creating that matte base a lot of us oily girls crave is The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream I use this after my toner its a great moisturiser for combination skin its lightweight enough to not feel heavy yet still manages to provide the moisture where skin needs it most, whilst still creating that matte oil free base.

The next step is a primer and the one I use most days is The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser, although not advertised as a primer it makes a great base for make up smoothing over skin making a good canvas for foundation, a little of this goes a long way my foundation stays putt for longer and I'm not left with a shiny t-zone after only a few hours.

The last step in my routine after applying my foundation is the Soap & Glory's One Heck Of A Blot, this is a great powder which aids in keeping shine at bay, its also great to pop in your bag for on the go application if you ever need a touch up as comes with a mirror and little puff, you can also live without fear of it breaking (Rimmel Stay Matte I'm looking at you) This trio normally means I don't have to touch up or when I would need to is when I'm normally thinking of removing my make up anyway.

What do you you to keep shine at bay?
