When deciding which Makeup
Revolution palette to try it didn't take me long to decide upon this
beauty, look at all that pretty rose gold loveliness, the decision was
made even easier when I heard it was a dupe for the Naked 3 palette as I
love my original Naked palette, I couldn't wait to give it a try.
The Iconic 3 palette
contains 12 eyeshadows with varying types of finish from matte, pearl
to shimmer. When I initially swatched the eyeshadows I was left a little
disappointed with the pigmentation, that was until I realised you need
to scratch the surface a little to get the best out of them. Once you
have done that you're left with gorgeous shades with excellent
pigmentation, they aren't as buttery soft and smooth as the Urban Decay
eyeshadows but for £4 you can't have it all. I'm not a big eyeshadow
wearer really and don't go for a full on dark smoky eye look, so this
palette is perfect for me, lots of pretty wearable shades for everyday
wear, as you can see from the swatches below. The shadows last well with
or without a primer a good 6-7 hours.
Overall I'm very impressed for the £4 price tag you really can't go
wrong, for someone on a budget or if you aren't a big eyeshadow wearer
like me and just want to experiment with different looks and colours
this just may be the perfect addition to your make up bag. This has
definitely left me wanting to try more.
What do you think of Iconic 3? Have you tried Makeup Revolution palettes?
